Finalist got unveiled for “World Green Car Award”

Ahh !!! So finally the day came where we got to know about the three finalists for the World Green Car Award, which was announced at New York International Auto Show. The three finalist includes Nissan Leaf, Chevrolet Volt and BMW 320d Efficient Dynamics.

The 2011 World Green Car was revealed recently announcing the finalist award to "Nissan Leaf" by defeating the Chevrolet Volt and BMW 320d Efficient Dynamics Edition. The Nissan Leaf model is the winner for both category of 2011 World Car and 2011 World Green Car of the groups.

Though the other two models BMW 320d and Chevrolet volt gave toughest competition to the winner, yet Leaf successfully made its position to in the Green Car industries. The Audi A8 and BMW 5 Series were the other rivals for the Nissan Leaf followed on this year. Besides these, the Porsche 911 is up from Mercedes Benz SLS and with the Italian World performance car Ferrari 458.

The World Green Car awards were introduced in the year 2004, January, and hence help the automotive industries to recognize the excellence Green cars sectors. A jury of 66 members voted in the month of February, to choose the three finalists as well as the winner of the Green Car, also included with World Car Design and World Performance Car. The General Manager of the Brand Management, Ryoji Yamada said, that "we are very much thankful and honored for the sponsor of 2011 World Green Car, as it is the responsibility of everyone to save the environment from polluted".
